Fix It Before You List It to be Led by GSB mortgage officers

GREENFIELD—Greenfield Savings Bank (GSB) will offer Fix It Before You List It, a seminar that offers financial tips on selling a home to maximize profit and knowledge, on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the bank’s new residential lending offices at the Leavitt-Hovey House, 402 Main St.

The seminar is focused on helping homeowners access financial options to complete needed repairs before listing their properties, thus strengthening buyer appeal as well as the seller’s value. Participants will also learn how to avoid costly mistakes and navigate the financing factors that can impact the sale from contract to closing.

Justo Sepulveda and Caryl Connor, mortgage officers at Greenfield Savings Bank, will lead the seminar, offering financial advice as it relates to selling a home.

A Realtor is also expected to take part and will discuss the current real estate market and how to best position one’s home in it.

For homeowners who are selling as well as buying, Sepulveda and Connor will review GSB’s financing options.

“Selling a home involves much more than listing with a real estate agent and putting a sign in the yard,” GSB President and CEO Peter Albero said. “Together, Justo and Caryl can help people make informed decisions about selling, understand their options and move forward with confidence.”

Sepulveda has 22 years of mortgage lending experience and is skilled at helping buyers, homeowners and real estate professionals navigate the financial side of homeownership. He brings a practical lender’s perspective to a question every seller eventually asks: “Is it worth fixing before I list?”

Connor has 36 years of mortgage lending experience and brings a straightforward, down-to-earth approach to mortgage lending. She helps buyers and homeowners understand how today’s decisions can affect tomorrow’s sale, financing options and their next purchase.
