Greenfield Savings Bank to Offer Empowerment in Planning Seminar Oct. 8

Participants will learn how to navigate important estate planning decisions with confidence
GREENFIELD—In collaboration with Legacy Counsellors, PC, Greenfield Savings Bank will offer Empowerment in Planning, an estate planning seminar, on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the bank’s new branch in Easthampton. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
Located at 1 Sierra Vista Blvd. next to Starbucks, the branch serves as the bank’s southern headquarters.
The presentation will be held in partnership with Heather Iampietro of Legacy Counsellors, PC, an attorney with a regional firm focused on real estate and estate planning, and Amy Watts, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional with the GSB Wealth Management and Trust Services.
Iampietro and Watts will review the essential estate planning documents every adult should have, and they will discuss revocable living trusts, strategies for protecting a family’s wealth and how to protect assets for children and future generations from potential creditors, lawsuits and other risks.
Participants will also learn how goals, life stages and feelings about risk can shape an estate plan and how proactive cash-flow planning and risk management can help support financial goals and avoid setbacks.
“Planning for the future now will help people protect their legacies,” said Greenfield Savings Bank President and CEO Peter Albero. “Estate planning can help reduce costs, avoid unnecessary court involvement and provide peace of mind for your loved ones. Participants will walk away with the guidance they need to make decisions with confidence.”
Iampietro received her law degree from Western New England University and understands all aspects of the real estate process from inception through closing. She focuses her practice on real estate transactions and estate planning and is licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont.
At GSB Wealth Management and Trust Services, Watts helps individuals, families and business owners pursue their financial goals through comprehensive planning and personalized investment strategies. Her areas of focus include retirement planning, investment management, wealth preservation and legacy planning.
